Why Therapy?
"Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us."
-- David Richo
Imagine being alone out at sea with only your own expertise to rely on. Think about how it feels navigating that ship alone... You may be afraid, or anxious. Sometimes the seas are rough and even though it is out of our control - we are thrust into the middle of the ocean.
Now, imagine being on that ship with the most advanced weathering, mapping and GPS system. This system, while may not have all the answers, can assist you in seeing your path clearly.
It can help you find the focus of your travel so that you do not veer off course. If it senses bad weather on the horizon - it can recommend an alternate route. It can show you the various roads to take, and you can choose the one that is best for you.
Consider me your navigation and weather tracking system! I will be there with you to help you see the road more clearly and allow you to pick the best course which is right for you.
When you do go through bad weather, problems in life - I will be your compass and help you sort through the storm.

The Difference Therapy Can Make In Your Life
Talking to friends and family is wonderful and can be very helpful at times. However, there is a value in having a professional person who cares about you, but is not involved in your home or in your personal life. Seeing things from an outsider's perspective provides you with an honest and clear point of view.Sitting in my office is as simple as sitting at a friend's house talking. You will immediately sense you are in a warm, cozy, and safe environment - where you are free to talk about anything that is on your mind. One very important difference, however, is that with me - you are guaranteed to get a professional, who will always stay descrete, never judge, and always look out for your best interests.
About Me
Best Listeners is not just a name... It is who I am!
I was born and raised in South Florida, where I received my bachelors degrees in both Political Science and Communications from University of Florida. For my masters, I attended University of Michigan School of Social Work, and graduated in 2002.
After years of practicing, I then took my knowledge and skill-set back to Florida. I proceeded to be licensed here in the State, where I had a wonderful opportunity working for hospice, and received the honor of Social Worker of the year.
Since my training, I have been practicing my work in the field for over 18 years. I have worked with all ages - from children to seniors, and take a special interest in helping adults during life's transitions, especially when facing major changes or loss. I take great pleasure from seeing my patients become the best versions of themselves.
Life is full of challenges! Don't go through it alone.
Even a single session can go a long way and make a difference. I have the experience to listen, ask the right questions, and help you find the quickest way to sort through anything that is on our mind.
